FAIRFAX MEDIA staff from The Sydney Morning Herald, The Sun-Herald, The Age, Sunday Age, The Australian Financial Review, The Newcastle Herald and The Illawarra Mercury remained on strike last night over the company's plan to cut 550 positions from its Australian and New Zealand operations and over a continuing pay dispute.
