An excellent end to the minor rounds. Esperance Combined Tyres were not in the finals, but pushed Subway (who are) all the way. Sam Hastings and Kelli Florisson fought a brilliant match, Sam the winner 9-5, 9-5, 5-9, 7-9, 9-7 in a game that could have gone either way. The last match of the night between Beth O’Callaghan and Raewyn Fisher was also a real nail-biter, both girls playing top squash and neither giving in. Beth won 10-8, 9-6, 8-10, 8-10, 9-6.

Karen was on fire, warming up for a more relaxed season next year without all her captain duties. A3 Karen Davies defeated Coral O’Brien 3-2. The second game also wemt to five, but Sue’s determination got her though to win again. A game within a game with Lara and Maree being on equal points to take off highest points in b-grade. Great shots, great rallies, great season to Maree and Lara.
