Good old fashioned entertainment

2/07/2008 12:06:00 PM
IT’S that time of the year again.

Time to book a babysitter, and get yourself down to the Bijou theatre for the annual senior citizens concert for a night of good old fashioned entertainment.

Featuring singing, dancing, and plenty of laughs, the senior citizens concert will be a high-spirited event that is sure to bring a smile to your face and get your toes tapping.

To be held at the Bijou Theatre Friday at 7pm, and with matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday at 2pm, Esperance residents will have plenty of opportunities to catch this show.

Director Margot Siemer and assistant director Adele Baldwin have transformed the Bijou into a street scene which will come alive during the three performances.

Shire Manager for senior services, Thuriyya Ibrahim, said the concert is not only good fun, but has also been an important way for performers to once again delight audiences and improve their theatre skills.

“The Seniors Recreational Council Esperance is once again delighted to help in bringing together the great talent of some of the experienced performers to delight and entertain audiences of all ages.”

Tickets are available through the Civic Centre.
